February is Black History Month

2020 marks the 150 year anniversary (1870) of the Fifteenth Amendment giving Black Men the right to vote.

Carter G. Woodson is credited as the "Father of Black History." The son of former slaves, Woodson lead a fascinating life and is celebrated and acknowledged for starting Negro History Week which grew into Black History Month.   Read More

The NEIT Library is pleased to present 8 posters from the Smithsonian and National Museum of American History honoring the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I, the war to end all wars.
