The World Health Organization [WHO] has links to all versions of ICD-10 [Classification of Diseases] including the most current version, 2016.

The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is the standard diagnostic tool for epidemiology, health management and clinical purposes. This includes the analysis of the general health situation of population groups. It is used to monitor the incidence and prevalence of diseases and other health problems, proving a picture of the general health situation of countries and populations.  All Member States use the ICD which has been translated into 43 languages. Association of Surgical Technologists

Established in 1969 by members of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Hospital Association (AHA), and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) this association is the oldest and most widely recognized professional organization for surgical technologists and surgical assistants.  AST's primary purpose is to ensure that surgical technologists and surgical assistants have the knowledge and skills to administer patient care of the highest quality. The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)

NBSTSA, formerly the LCC-ST, was established in 1974 as the certifying agency for surgical technologists. NBSTSA is solely responsible for all decisions regarding certification; from determining eligibility to maintaining, denying, granting and renewing the designation. The purpose of NBSTSA is to determine, through examination, if an individual has acquired both theoretical and practical knowledge of surgical technology or surgical first assisting. In addition, through the acquisition of continuing education credits or by re-examination, CST’s certified after August 31, 1977 and all CST/CSFAs are required to stay up to date   with changes in the medical field.
