The classification VM contains materials on naval architecture, shipbuilding, and marine engineering. Within this classification, books on Marine Engines can be found in the Library under VM731 through VM779. Works on special types of vessels are found in VM311 through VM466, with books on small craft in VM320-VM360. This includes works on marine electricity and electronics in VM325 (found in the Library Catalog under the subject headings Boats and Boating -- Electric Equipment and Boats and Boating -- Electronic Equipment).  Works on marine surveying are found in two areas: in VM321, (listed in the Library Catalog under the subject heading Ships -- Inspection), and also in HE588.7 Boats and boating -- Inspection).  Works on maintenance and repair of small craft can be found in VM322, with books specifically on working with Fiberglass in TA455.P55 with engineering materials.

Also, works on Electronics in Navigation are found in VK560-VK561.
