Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK)
"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

Library Words and Terms
Like any specialty, there are numerous words and terms that are used in libraries. Often those involved with a specialty, whether it be baking or brain surgery, are so familiar with their specialized terminology that they take it for granted that others know those words. Currently, library words and terms mingle with words from and about computers.
